Natural monument Kamen Brela: The trademark of this Adriatic sea pearl, which is a constitutent part of a beautiful sandy beach, and, again, separated from it, creates a wonderful sight which hardly cannot be remembered.
There are so many legends about the rock falling into the sea, but, in any case, this one represents an unique phenomenon.
The beach Dugi rat, the most wonderful one of all the beaches in Brela, attracts its bathers with the crystalline sea as well as with the shade of centennial pine trees.
Vruja: A magnificent spot where the cliffs dive into the sea from the height of more than 100 metres. Unfortunately, numerous attempts to determine the final depth from which the water rises did not end well. Namely, there happens to be a system of drinking water springs, or even a part of the river Cetina sinking somewhere in Zagora, and rising right here. They create a fascinating locality for divers. The big schools of fish gather here for food or for multiplication, creating a spectacle which we used to see in the reportages about the Red Sea. Therefore, each new dive at this spot is uncertain and interesting.
Brela Gornja is almost completely situated inside the Nature park Biokovo, spreading to the area on the coast above Jadranska magistrala (the main road). Namely, in 2004 the American journal "Forbes" declared this beach as the most beautiful one in Europe, and the 6th the most beautiful in the world. It is the first beach in Dalmatia on which, starting from the year 1999, the "Blue flag" (European ecology award) flutters. Besides this beach, other two beaches are the "Blue flag" bearers: the "Berulia" beach (from 2003) and "Stomarica" beach (from 2004) situated in the west part of Brela.
